I saw this idea on Pinterest this morning and absolutely love it!
It's called a "reading graffiti" board.
You need: black butcher paper and colored sharpies. I'm thinking gold and silver so that both reading periods can have their own space.
Challenge students to find the "golden line" or "best quote" and write it on the board. They will work on quoting accurately and close reading to find that perfect quote. The board will also encourage others to read those novels as well. I'm excited to try it :)
