I anticipated much, much worse. I admit it, I'm that teacher that is super anxious & nervous before the first day (or first day after an extended break).
They got assigned seats for AM & PM small group reading:
There's one group I need to split up, but out of sixty plus students...that's not awful!
I also re-vamped their supply buckets. After four months of student use, they were looking a little ragged. To help, I added color strips at the top to help them stay organized. We also had a talk about how the buckets should look:
I'm hopeful the buckets stay organized!
